I believe many of us are using Google Chrome as our default browser. We have ample reason to enjoy the convenience Chrome has brought with. Fast speed, no crash, stay incognito, and especially the extensions from third parties. How many extensions are you using at the moment? How do you manage those plug-ins? Well, it is simple and free to download and install those extensions. However, it will be annoying to disable each plugin manually if we don’t need some of them to be running.
It should be noted that too many extensions installed will occupy a large amount of memory when running the Chrome. They will slower your chrome down and cause the hard drive temperature to stay up.
Time to manage these extensions and disable them temporarily. Maintain the balance between speed and functionality.
Disable extension manually.
Go to the Chrome extensions list by entering the URL “chrome://extensions/” into the navigation bar. After pressing the “Enter” button, all the extensions you are using will display.
Click the checkbox to enable or disable the desired extension.
By this simple way, you can enable/disable each of the extensions conveniently. Tedious but effective.
Disable all extensions with one click.
However, sometimes you hope to disable all of the extensions temporarily for some reasons. Click the checkbox one by one should not be preferred, especially when you have too many extensions. Unfortunately, Chrome hasn’t supplied the feature to disable all of the extensions yet. Therefore, I share a wonderful extension which provides the capability to disable all extensions with one click.
This is “Disable Extensions Temporarily”. With its self- explanatory name, you can find this extension in chrome web store. Add it to your chrome and an icon will show up in chrome menu. Click the toggle to turn all extension on or off.
Quite simple, isn’t it? You can give this free extension a try and start to manage extensions from now on.
